FAQ

What is your Warranty?

Perfect Shutters offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty – Full Product Replacement with all our Vinyl Shutters. Wood Shutters come with a 1 year warranty. Composite Shutters come with a 5 year warranty. Please see our Warranty section for all the information.

What is your Lead Time on Vinyl Shutters?

We attempt to ship as soon as possible on all orders.  Some orders will ship in 5-7 work days and some of the more custom vinyl products will take 9-10 work days to ship.

How are your Vinyl Shutters made?

The parts for our Custom Vinyl Shutters are a combination of injection-molded and extruded.  The shutters are made with a multi-piece assembly, using electrostatic welding and stapling.  This process allows us to provide the most extensive selection of sizes, colors, and configurations.  Our Premier One-Piece Vinyl Shutters are 100% injection-molded.

Can I Custom Paint the custom exterior shutters?

We offer a paint-able version of all our products, all you need to do is request color #049 – Paint-able. Our color-through products are not able to be painted.  There are products on the market that claim to be able to paint plastic shutters, but we have not done any testing to verify their claims.

What type of surfaces can shutters be installed on?

Our Exterior Shutters can be installed on almost any type of surface using either our shutter spikes (vinyl) or shutter screws (metal, painted-head). See all of our Installation Instructions.

Is your product returnable?

Due to the custom nature of our products, shutters are not returnable.  If you should need help in figuring out how to measure, don’t understand the differences between products, or just want to talk about your decision before you purchase, please call us at

Are your Vinyl Shutters operable?

Our Vinyl Shutters are decorative and are not operable. These shutters must be fixed-mounted.

Do your shutters come with operable louvers?

FastShutters does not offer operable louvers. Our louvered products come with fixed louvers. All wood louver shutters can have a Faux Tilt Rod applied to them.
